About a month ago I had my windscreen replaced. I told the windscreen people that I thought my old one was 'ATHERMIC' . And would it be replaced 'Like for Like' and they said it would.I was a little suspicious when I saw on my receipt 'LAMINATED WINDSCREEN CLEAR'. I'm even more suspicious now I have used my Tom-Tom and travelled 80 miles with good satelite reception through the 'screen in the bottom middle, this was not possible with the old 'screen.
Could they have fitted a non-coated 'screen?
And if so how can I check this out.

C5 windscreen Replacement
There are two secrets to success
1. never reveal all you know
Our C5 has a slightly clearer patch in the dotted area around the mirror, apparently that's so that it's possible to use automated toll roads. I'd guess that a screen without that lighter patch isn't athermic. From memory it pretty much follows the shape of the dotted area.
The Tom Tom one is supposed to work with athermic screens apparently.
