Cit Service Site

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hi,
I looked all over the Cit Service site the other day ( Parts) for an oil cooler for the 90 HDI Xantia. Never came anywhere near one---checked under Cooling, and Lubrication, and Engine General. Supposed to be under the oil filter- according to Haynes BOL. I may need to get one--probably cost a kings ransom
Anyone seen one on the site?
Thanks,
Greg

Hi DickieG,
I found item 7 on the exploded diagram, but there wasn't any reference to it in the parts list on the right side of page. I was looking for a part number and price, but couldn't find them.

If the part number doesn't show up on the list then its not fitted to that particular car.

However I have found errors on the site where parts are fitted to one of my cars but according to Citroën Service they aren't. If that is the case search on the model without entering a chassis number.

If you put the chassis number in & it showed the pic but no description that means its not fitted to that car (well according to cit service anyway)

Hi,
The Cit Parts bit may not show one, but I have certainly got one fitted to this engine :D .
Found the page in the end--with a joke price of £182 -plus vodka and tonic.  :?

Whats the part no Gregg ?

Someone could look it up on Peugeot net as well, to compare the price tag.
I can do it, but will always get the local pricetags, which could very well be misleading for UK pricelevels.

Chaps,

A bit off topic but has anyone used the subsciption technical section of the Cit site yet. If so can you download stuff from it, and can anyone recommend it?

Yes I have, you can download parts of workshop manuals, the best thing is to try it yourself with a one hour subscription for 3 Euro or something. Have a list of items you want to look for to save time brousing only to then find your hour is up before you've found what you really wanted.

To my knowledge You have the usual on-screen right-click mouse options.
Must admit I have not yet tried it out, despite a 1 hour ticket certainly wont break my budget.
Note : you can not "save" un-used time for later usage. The ticket runs from the moment you log in first time.

Thanks chaps.

I have a 1.9td Synergie which has no Haynes manual available. I have a Russec book ( temporarily lost ) and a ropey 806 CD off Ebay which is poorly translated and has a few sections missing.
Proper Citroen information would be very useful, particularly if it can be downloaded & saved.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the engine designations for the following cars:

1998 Xantia series 2 turbo diesel 1.9 (S)
1999 xant2 hdi 90 (V).

Also, on all the Xants I have had before, the ORGA number was always stamped on bulkhead, above the doseur valve. Where have they hidden it on the HDi, please ??.
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

The 1.9TD is XUD9TE, and the 2.0 Hdi 90 is DW10TD.

If you can't find the ORGA number on the car the service.citroen site will find it from the car's VIN number for you.

On later MK2s you'll find the RP number on the label carrying the tyre pressure information in the drivers side "A" post door shut. You may find the RP number is preceded by a leading zero and have a couple of random letters following it.

Mine, for instance, on my MK2, is 08293CJ. Strip out the 0 and CJ to leave the RP number.
