HEATER MATRIX AND A/C

Post by acrowot »

Does anyone know if the A/C on a MK2 Xantia has to be disturbed when changing the Heater Matix, does it need a re-gas.

My experience is with a late MK1 Xantia, where it is not necessary to disturb the A/C system to change the heater matrix. Just undo the 2 or 3 bolts that hold the heater casing to the A/C casing, and with a bit of persuasion, the heater box pulls out far enough to lift the matrix clear.
