Veg oil in an HDi is a big no no I'm afraid due the tight tolerances and sohisticated equipment, do a quick search on here and all will be revealed.

Don't put any veg oil in an HDi, you will kill the fuel pump.

It is possible to get a proper conversion done on them, but it isn't cheap.

You could use proper Biodiesel. I can get it for around 10p/litre cheaper than mineral diesel.

That has to be the way to go for the HDi :D That represents good value.

For owners of 1.9TDs with Bosch pumps though, there is a suspicion that biodiesel is not kind to the pump seals and they'll start leaking after a while.

I have no reports of how biodiesel might affect the seals in Lucas DPC and EPIC pumps. I'll try to find out.

My dad has been running his on it for about 6k now, that is the series 2 2.1td epic.

Its always worth using the peromance diesel once in a while to make sure your car gets what its meant to and with the savings its easily do-able :)
