What was the reasoning behind the throttle pedal damper?
My BX was my first diesel and the guy I bought it off seemed to think all diesels were like that (with hindsight, the diesel Transit I used to drive wasn't although I never thought of that at the time)
The Xantia was just bog standard, like a petrol engined car, which surprised me at first.
No discernible damper on the C5.

I think its to make it less jerky but i also feel it deliberatly slows it down. Also forgot to mention that if your cable is slack, combined with the damper it will make it feel very flat too. All quick and easy things to do, i've also made the throttle cable tight on every car i've had and found it makes a difference.myglaren wrote:What was the reasoning behind the throttle pedal damper?
