I have always used Morris' oils on my cars (seem good value + spec, local parts shop keep a good range), but I am struggling to find the equivalent to the recommended Total Quartz 9000 for the C5.
I'm sure the TQ 7000 is recommended for non-particulate filter 2.0 hdi engines, so my question is: is it because of the part. filter requirements that I need a higher spec oil, or is it perceived higher engine loads on the 2.2 that necessitate a higher spec oil?
Could the filter be damaged by the wrong oil, or is it more to do with oil lifespan?
Any advice gratefully received.
