Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year to Everyone.
Its great to be back in here isn't it.
My C5 Estate has a little problem with the rear wiper. It does not go as far as it used to. Maybe 3/4 of the way at best. I think its jsut the cold or the salt from the roads, but its never happened before. Anyone had this before?

Can anyone with a C5 Estate tell me which side the rear wiper is on when its resting? If you stand behind it, is it left hand or right hand side?
Obviously its on the outside of the car before anyoen starts

If you open the tailgate glass the wiper is free to be moved by hand, that should tell you if the problem lies with the wiper or the motor.
It might be that the pin that's supposed to drive the wiper isn't engaged properly, possible because the wiper moved while the glass was open.

Ah ha! I have found why my wiper is not working very well.
The spindle inside spins, but the plastic bit around it has cracked and does not grip properly, so the inside spins and the outside does not move with it!
I remember reversing the car too close to a wall and doing the damage.

Finaly got my rear wiper sorted.
I couldn't work it out, so took it to an indy.
They couldn't work out how to get it off so took it to Cit Dealer who said it would take less than half an hour.
It took them more than 1.5 hours. They had to hacksaw the bolt off.
