Is this a Xantia Mk 2 Manual?

No.
All the Series 2 handbooks have a totally different format, being landscape
in layout and having a full colour dynamic perspective cover pic of a dark

Sorry but that's not correct, my V6 has a handbook dated 10/97 with the same cover and that covers the MK2.andmcit wrote:No.

Both of my R reg 1998 mark 2 came with different book than pictured.
As dickieG said, there is no specific book to the activa, and this probably extends to any particular model with any particular engine, or any particular year.
Seems like there is no definitive date when the books changed or what was changed, "I don't think" it would matter TOO much which book you had, as the activa engine was still the same in mark1 and mark2, and the major differences were cosmetic and some switches moved from one place to another etc etc, and some features on the electric seats etc, radio.
Hope that helps.

Thanks - I realise there isn't an Activa handbook - I'd just like a handbook that explains all the various bits & pieces (fluid levels etc).deian wrote:Both of my R reg 1998 mark 2 came with different book than pictured.

For example, when I first start up, I get a spanner symbol appear in the odometer window with a figure next to it - I'm guessing it's a service interval indicator or something?
