Xantia sunroof relay

Post by elma »

Does anybody know where said relay can be had for reasonable money?
Citroen want forty something which I think is steep!
If anyone has a spare which works could you be persuaded to sell it?
Thanks.

Hi James.

Tell me which one you specifically need, and we can swap/barter parts
between us!! (pm sent). Is this actually the one on the sunroof
frame beside the actual motor?

Can't say I've ever bothered much with them as Xantia sunroofs are
usually reliable - unlike Xm ones...

The relay is in essence a compact dual coil dual changeover contacts relay, to work as a polarity changer making the sunroof motor pulling either way on the control button.
Thats why its a "special" unit and hence expensive.
Same type of relay is used in many EW units, and the driver circuit for earlier CL control units.

Knowledge on car electrics and 2 standard changeover relays may fast and cheap make up a functional replacement as a bodge.

Andrew's hit on location seems just about right, as this is where I found it on my previous CX.
