Non ABS UK Xantias

Post by rory_perrett »

Hi

Does anyone know which UK Xantia models came without ABS?

Cheers

Certainly the phase 1's in LX guise don't have ABS though it was an
optional extra. I lost the thread of Citroen's thinking with their phase 2
weird Temptation, Desire and Athena though; IIRC Temptation is the
LX equivalent. I'm guessing the Athena was a transition from VSX to
Exclusive...

The old shape xantias generally had abs on sx and vsx. Don't know on the newer ones. The athena was a vsx with cruise control.

Did the Sensation have any equivalent or was it just a one off "special"
Pretty sure dad's wasn't as high spec as a SX/Desire

I have a 99 V Plate mkII LX Hatchback that has ABS so i guess it became standard fit at a certain age to keep up with the competition :)

Thanks chaps , I've come across a late 1997 Series I 2ltr petrol and was surprised to find it didn't have ABS, call me cynical but I was wondering if it really was what it said it was. Perhaps I shouldn't be so suspicious!

I don't know where I saw it now but I thought mine was the Athena, that's why I added it to my sig - It says TEMPT2 on the V5 so until I find that web page to double-check, I'll remove it from my sig.
