Hi,
Can anyone tell me the exact physical locations of the following Hydractive 2 sensors on a Xantia ?
* Brake pressure sensor (connected to the pressure line to the front brakes, somewhere....)
* Road speed sensor (on the gearbox somewhere presumably, but where ??)
Thanks.
Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,
The first I don't know but the second, the Speed Sensor (VSS), on a BE3 gearbox is mounted on top of the extension to the diff housing on the offside (long) driveshaft side where the speedo cable would have been connected in the old days.
Any problems with the VSS and the speedo won't work.

Opps, should have been more specific - I've got the 4HP14 automatic gearbox. Also I mean the speed sensor for the Hydractive 2 computer, not for the dashboard speedo - or are they one in the same ??

Found the brake pressure sensor!
Don't need to find the other one as the problem is now fixed! See:
