Will ZX 16v Alloys fit a Xantia?

Post by reffro »

Simple query really, do the ZX 16v Alloys have the correct offset etc to fit a 1994 Xantia 2.0 8v

I think that the answer is yes.
The offset and the PCD are the same. You may want to think about tyres though to ensure correct speedo etc, the ZX I think was fitted with 195/55/15's on this wheel originally.

Yes the manual/adertising nonsense that came with my zx 16v said 195/55/15 however mine has 195/50/15 on. Am i right in thinking this will make the speedo over-read as it will do more revolutions of the wheel for the same mph due to the smaller diameter?

Yes your speedo is going to over-read, and your fuel economy will be slightly worse too, if you fit 195/50 instead of 195/55, as you can guess its down to the reduced circumference of the new tyres.
My Xantia is a VSX, so it comes with 15-inch alloys anyway, just I liked to look of some ZX 16v alloys I have seen, as mine are a bit scruffy. As for tyres my car is fitted with 195/55 VR1**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] already, though I wish it wasn't. Its such an unusual size that it is always more expensive to replace a tyre.

Yes.
The difference in wheel's circumference is, theoretically, around 3.2%.
