Xantia Central Locking Craziness

if its a xantia 2 then i think the c/locking control unit is behind the glovebox.not sure about a xantia 1 as for the water leak check that the scuttle panel is sealed properly to the windscreen.the seal can deteriorate sometimes or if it's had a windscreen it sometimes doesent get re sealed properly.if its not sealed right water gets past and comes in through the heater blower motor intake and gathers in the same place

Thanks Wheeler,
The scuttle panel did look a bit dodgy - I filled it with silicone now - I am fairly convinced that's what it was since the water in the foam was so clean so I reckon it was rain water - fingers crossed.
Regarding the central locking control unit, I'll have a look behind the glove box (after I have rebuilt the drivers door as I had heard it might be in there - it isn't - on mine at least!) - at what point did Xantia become mark 2?
