Recently when I start my ZX TD the orange heater plugs light comes on...goes off...I start the car(OK so far)...drive it about 100 metres and then the light comes on again...and goes off and maybe comes on again?
Is it trying to tell me to change the plugs? Or something else?

It shouldn't do that.... AFAIK there is no 'error checking' in the system, so it suggests that yours has an electrical fault. Possibly an unreliable power feed (I think there's a relay before the glowplug relay), or the glow plug relay has gone to pot. Could also be that the feed to the dash light has chafed through, and is giving you false readings. I've not had to investigate one of these systems, so am not au-fait with the exact ins and outs, but I'm sure others here can advise, and some studying of the wiring diagram should let you know how it works.
