Xsara's Radio lost its mind, after electric trauma:

Post by Susoni »

Hi. As seen at the "burnt wire" topic, I had my car fixed and now the radio has to be initialized or calibrated. The problem is that it is not asking me for the code. It receives current but I can not control it, even not manual search. The only living sign that it gives are 3 straps shown on the digi. Thanks a lot for any help!
Michael.

The 3 straps mean that the code must be entered.
Normally, the original dealer of the car has the number, and it should be with the paperwork, unless a previous owner made a paper plane of it.
There are topics here about getting codes from code crackers or something, but will have to explore to find them.

Hi. Thanks for your info. I do have the code at home but need to get the car from my wife first. Meantime I'm riding my old BMW bike. That's a nice paper plane. Do you have summer now in Australia?
Kind regards, Michael, Israel.

The original fitment Eurovox made in Japan car radio of the Xantia also has 3 stripes to indicate to enter the code.
That’s simpler for the maker than to know what language to display in.

Fairly elaborate as paper planes go, indeed !

It’s winter here now … seasons upside down in the southern hemisphere.
We’re 100 km south of Brisbane … today, rain and 14ºC to 17ºC.
In summer, 30ºC every day, and humid and sticky.
