I don't see why it should be much different to the 1.9, after all it is basically an XUD engine, unless the advance/retard characteristics are different with the 12 valve head.

Id imagine the injectors are different for a start as they would need to be able to deliver more fuel at some points than the 1.9td's(hence the higher power that can be attained from the 2.1td)

Also there would no doubt be problems with converting it to mechanical pump as i bet things like the ecu would get very confused or need to be lied to some how and maybe one or two other things like keypads and the like...

It would be nice to see one fitted into a xantia, maybe a better project would be to drop a whole engine into a 1.9td engined xantia without keypad to make things easier.
