There is no need to drop the car - as the height correctors will isolate the suspension from the accumulator. However be aware that while you are underneath it it could drop so allow enough room if it does.

Loosen pressure relief valve (bolt on accumulator, replace sphere, start engine and let it idle to purge air, then tighten bolt and all should be done. Its probably time for some Citroebics now.

On the 2.1TD there's enough room to get to the accumulator from above, so you shouldn't need to go under :) (why does the 2.1 have more room around it than the 1.9 :? )

Just been toGSF to get a new sphere and asked about the auto tensioner while I was there

They do it at £43 instead of £73.91 +vat fron main dealer.

Part number is 575130.This seems to be just the roller not the whole assembly shown it the piccy on this link

I though by looking at this picture I would get the whole lot spring and all!

Do I still have to remove the whole lot to fit the new pully?

cheers

You didnt get that for your 85 quid ?
Either you've got the wrong part - or something is missing from the box.

i got exacty what is on the box not the whole thing (next to the box)

I gave citroen my vin number and thay gave me the part number which i than took to GSF.
I look to be diffrent than the one in the link.

The bearing is now separate from the bolt.
If i can work out how to I'll post a picture.
