is it possible
my rear calipers have suffered from the dreaded corrosion and tilting and would like to know if it is possible to swap the left hand and the right hand calipers as they appear to be mirror images it would appear that they are not handed

Yes they should swap from side to side no problem.
- provided you swap the bleed nipple for the feed pipe.
Dont part the caliper into halfbodies. Instead :
1) remove pads
2) re-fit pad screw and nut.
3) unscrew feed pipe & bleed nipple
4) unscrew caliper bolts
5) slide caliper clear of brakedisc and clean the mating face on the rear arms.
6) seal off the mating faces using sticky rust protection mass or silver (alu) paste. Copraslip or copperpaste is not good on alloy surfaces as this will cause electrochemical corrosion by itself.
