Anyone had a head gasket leaking oil behind the injection pump on XUD engines?
I had it a while back on a 195K mile Xantia XUD, and now the same on an aged 205GRD. It transpires that the 'O' ring embedded in the gasket that ensures oil feed to the camshaft goes rotten and seems time related rather than mileage. The leak ends up being pretty horrid causing engine mounts/Cambelt/Aux belt failures (eventually). The reason for this post is that I haven't seen this on this forum yet...
