My original question was:-
Hi, as mentioned in an earlier post, my ZX bump starts and runs like clockwork, but will not start conventionally (even though the starter turns the engine over etc).
I have further investigated and found there to be no spark in the H.T. system when trying to turn the engine over as in conventional starting, but there is a very healthy spark after the engine starts.
Could this be a problem with the Ignition amplifier ?
or am I barking up the wrong tree.

After taking it to a Diagnostics and tuning specialist, he confirmed that the amplifier module was the culprit.
ZX starting problem ?, It was the ignition module.
