malcolm - that would be a C5 with the successor of LHM fluid - the LDS fluid. If not already done, I believe you should start stock this fluid as well as LHM
- because Citroen customers knows where good service are to be found

Remember the fluid is checked with the suspension in the LOW position. There is a small line at the front of the resivoir just above the seem, this is the line to show that the suspension is on the level.

Thanks everyone, sorry forgot to say its a C5 anyway when I checked the fluid the suspesion was in low and the fluid was half way between the seem and empty does this need topping up and if so were has the fluid gone :?: have checked for leaks but none found I was told the system is self lubing so does it use the LDS to do this

I believe you need to let the car rest over night while suspension set to low. That is to make sure all spheres have relaxed their LDS filled cavities to the reservoir.

Topping up over the needed limit means spillage, nothing else.
