been quoted £152 from citroen to supply and fit a front abs sensor
is this right?
if anyone is breaking one and has a sensor i could buy then i am interested!

Try http://www.aepdirect.com £43.37 + VAT fitting a front one is relatively easy

To be honest I dont think they'll make a meal on you at that quote.
The sensor itself is approx or little more than half that.
You can always save on a diy job with second hand parts. But remember you will always have to carry yourself all the grief with the warranty on the job afterwards 8)
I dont understand why a simple wirewound magnetic pickup coil sensor (the ABS wheel sensor) would be such a dear part. It aint that reliable anyways ...

I replaced my abs sensor recently. If you're a patient and fairly competant DIY mechanic, it's not a bad job at all. Saves a few pennies too. I got mine from ebay for £15, took a bit of looking round though and emailing people who were breaking cars on the site. Think they're about £65 new so was worth the hunt.
It's a great feeling though when you finally see that ABS light go out!
