C5 Suspension - Spheres

Post by C5IAM »

Been getting a thumping noise from rear end, thought it was spare wheel/jack. Checked that out and having just done a 400 mile journey with some tools in the boot I now recognise the rear spheres are shot, but at only 69k. However, I do tow a caravan for about 7k of the 69k.
I would now like to replace all 6 spheres with 'comfort' ones as I have always found the ride too firm. Can anyone please let me know where to get 'comfort' spheres from for the C5 which is a 51 reg 2.2 HDI exclusive. Many thanks for your help.

I had similar problems - double clunk going over speed bumps and round corners sounded exactly the same as if car jack or spare loose. Check that it not the rear suspension bearings as was the case with my c5 2.2 hdi estate.
