Evaporator p/n needed...

Post by Sanvean »

Hi,

Sorry for crosspost, but the Aircon forum seems to be a little "frozen" (no posts since December).
I need a partnumber for Citroen Xantia 2 Estate SX evaporator. I know, that in Xantia 1(before 1998) the partnumber was 95667987. I am not sure, that after facelift the same p/n was used. Can anyone tell me the righ p/n for this part?

Thank you!

Only one condensor is listed for Mk11 Xantias - p/no 6453 V5. It seems that this part no also covers Mk1 cars as well now.

Thank you for answer, but there is no problem with the condenser. I know its p/n. I am looking for the evaporator's p/n. Condencer resides near the radiator, but the evaporator resides at the opposite side, in the passenger compartment, where A/C filter resides.

Sorry, mis-read the post, never heard of anyone needing a new evaporator!

Anyway, only available with the housing for Mk11 cars. P/no 6444 E1 for LH drive and 6450 AS for RH Drive. Both > 300 GBP. Gulp!

Pic of housing here

Thank you, Richard!
It is exactly the thing, I have fear of. I hope, that it is not leaking. I just try to count possible spends to repair the A/C in my car.

Sanvean,

Refer my response in the air/con forum.
If you were unlucky enough to need an evaporator, I'd be looking at getting a second hand one as it shouldn't be all that expensive as they are a part rarely if ever replaced so wouldn't be of much value to a car wrecker.
