I've got the factory manuals for the 93 model year car but my 1997 era
car has a different set up on the positive primary power box split beside
the battery and none of the wires bear any tangible similarity with what
the available diagrams tell me - does anyone have a scan/photocopy/pdf
of these circuits to help me nail my confounded dead VSX.
I've managed to get the ignition fired by bypassing a positive feed from
the battery straight to the back of the ignition switch but still have a totally
dead lighting circuit BAR [and very important this] the flasher for main
beam which is actually wired with a seperate +ve feed to a different part
of the switch.*
*I know this as the light switch is the same on all S1 Xantiae and the
diagram I've got corresponds with what I physically have in the car!!
Before I effect a more permanent fix to these circuits bypassing everything
right left and centre I would like to nail this by knowing exactly which
wires do what and why off the primary feed supply box - I may actually
find the common fault between the two circuits on this supply box if I
knew which coloured wire and plug connector actually is which...

There seem to be a couple of Xantia electric diagrams on the Citroen Y site - I don't know if they are for early or late cars or anything else about them but they may be worth having a look at.
There seems to be loads of on-line info on East European sites - takes ages to find and investigate!
