You are looking for a tapping or junction somewhere between the turbo outlet and the inlet manifold - I've never examined one so I don't know if they have the thin tube to communicate boost pressure to the injection pump (ECU on a C5?) - but if not you are going to have to get a tapping of it somewhere.

You will also have to find some non- multiplex wiring for the illumination light in the gauge.

Where you'll fit it - that's fun!

Probably best to pick up a live feed for illumination from the cigar lighter and then tap somewhere in the inlet tract (unless you can find a pipe to tee into) they do tell you some interesting things do boost gauges.

I've had a look at fitting a boost gauge to my C5. I'm thinking of connecting it into the small pipe which comes off the top of the intercooler to the pressure switch.

The pressure switch is to detect overpressure (according to my Revue Technique French manual).

The intercooler is the same on the 2.0 as the 2.2 Hdi.

Be careful with the connection to the pressure switch. The plastic nozzle may snap if you apply too much pressure when tightening up a jubilee clip after fitting new pipe. Mine did !

thx for all your help

also what pressures [peak] and [stable] does a c5 ? on the hdi110

im fitting this boost gauge because very soon im having the ecu reprogrammed and Having the gauge will help to know what pressures is the turbo delivering.

I had my 110 remapped a few weeks ago.If it goes anything as well as mine, you`ll be very impressed :D .Also,a K & N or free flow air filter gets the best from the remap/re program.Well,it has on mine.

for the air filter ive been looking, For the C5 2.0hdi makers on Replacement cotton air filters we have KN, BMC, Jetex and Green. Were did you got your kn filter from, ive been on my local halfords, and they cant find a reference nr for the c5, as its not listed on the catalog, and how much +/- it cost.

did you had a dyno made before / after the mapping

im having the mapping done im portugal, since im driving there for xmas hols, but its been said that for the 2.0 hdi 110bhp after mapping will get probably 138/140bhp + 290 / 300nm torque.

did you notice any big exhaust smoke increase, or just a little bit more...

ive seen some remapped cars that when you step on the gas.... looks like a squid :P cloud of black smoke

I got my K & N from Euro car parts.£41 inc the vat.Although ECP dont do one for my 406,the filter is the same as the Xantia, which they do.
knfilters.com
I had mine done from a bloke in Staffs,140 bhp/300NM,£175.The only smoke i get is if i take it over 4000 ish rpm to the red line. And then its only a bit of light smoke.Below that theres no smoke, weather i drive it normaly or floor it.
I`m glad i had it done as it now is a very quick car.Feels like it may have a bit more than 140 :D .I`ve also gained around 3-6 mpg more since having it done. Now doing 46.8 mpg overall with a mixture of town & motorway. Before it was 42 mpg.Managed to do 57.5 mpg last weekend on a 90 mile run.Acording to the fuel computer. :)

Holes in bulkheads let noise through - and so manufacturers avoid them so far as possible. The floor route may be the best for that reason.

Bore a hole in the floor, grommet it carefully and seal it and lead the pipe under the carpet and up to the dash.

Best to find somewhere that's not likely to get full blast of water thrown up from the road.
