I want to change the start code on my N reg Xantia. What is the procedure?
Also. is there a way to bypass the code altogether?

It tells you in the handbook how to change the code. The handbook lives under a flap to the right of the steering column. I can't remember what you do because I disabled mine on the second day I had it.

If it's a 1.9 Diesel you can disable the code by pulling the plug out of the back of the keypad when the engine is running. I'm not sure if that trick works on the 2.1 Diesels or the petrol models.

Do be aware that your insurance company might not be too impressed.
