Fixed! was: Tachymetric relay help needed (BX TZi)

Post by ekaftan »

I am helping a friend with a 1990 BX TZi (Bosch Jetronic inyection) and need help myself figuring out the pins of the Tachimetric relay (Cartier black relay, near the LHM tank)

The relay clicks when trying to start the car, but the fuel pump does not run and there is no power to the inyectors. I am assuming its gone bad, but want to bridge it to test my theory.

Where can I find the pinout for it?

Thanks.

Have a look at this site - I think the answer you want is under fuel injection - which describes both 8 and 16 valve systems.

(sorry I forgot to paste it last time!)

Ok. I fixed it. It was a cold solder inside the relay.

For the record: if you jump pin 30 with pin 87 and pin 87b the car will
start (the fuel pump will run until you remove the jumper) so you can confirm the relay being bad.
