HA ECU Pinout?
Can someone tell me the pinout of the HA2 ECU. I can't seem to find the copy I had. I've tried a search but drawn a blank.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

The site that I originally got it from has vanished, so I'm not surprised you can't find it...

Gonna do the LED thing so I can monitor the electrovalves. I've already fitted a couple of diodes inside the ECU, but since then lost the pinout diagram. When I had the dash out to do the matrix I ran a wire through the bulkhead in preparation. Having the pinout saves me dismantling the ECU again.

No diference... both pins are linked together, either in the plug or the loom...ekaftan wrote:Simon,
Two questions:
Pins 8 and 15 are grounds, right? Are they input or output grounds?
From what I understand, its for a dashboard mounted test light which only exists in the XM.Whats pin 10 for?
The manual that page is from talks about a fault light which comes on with the key and goes out after the self test is completed - much like an ABS dashboard light, but no Xantia that I know of has such a light fitted to the dashboard. (Although perhaps series 2 Xantia's do...)

I read somewhere that if the ECU detects a fault then it will flash the light on the hydractive switch when you switch the ignition on, provided you are in comfort mode. I guess you could test this by disconnecting one of the electrovalves? Of course, whether or not you can tell if the switch is on or off is another matter

If thats true, it would have to be when the switch is on (sport mode) as when it's off (normal) the switch contacts disconnect the light from the ECU completely.
I've certainly never seen the light flash in any conditions, even if the electrovalve is disconnected....unfortunately I havn't got the book at hand but I'm fairly sure it said the test light output is the one that shows the diagnostic function.
It's probably of marginal value anyway, as unlike ABS if a faulty sensor is detected, the system carries on operating with limited function just ignoring and working around the faulty sensor, and you'd still need an ELIT system to figure out which sensor was faulty anyway. (Other than trial and error)
The only sensors that are pretty much essential are the steering wheel sensor and the road speed sensor, without which things wont work properly at all... on the other hand the throttle sensor, body movement sensor, and brake pressure switch are all expendable without too much impact on overall operation...(I deliberately had my throttle movement sensor unplugged for a few months)
