Zx central locking

Hi all,

I have 1992 zx 1.9d, the drivers door does not open when I use the remote plib but all other doors and boot open fine!!!

I have to open driver door manually with the key which is a pain.

Any ideas on what it could be and how to test it???

First step is to take the door to bits and see if there's any current to the motor - have fun its got 5 wires - but 2 are for the local switch. Check the earth as well.

The wires can break where they pass through the body/door trunking.

As an alternative find the control unit and meter from there.

Does the key lock and unlock the rest of the car from the drivers door?

No the key just opens the drivers door and you have to open other doors via remote or manually when inside car!!!

sounds like a wire gone in the umbilical to me - ZX's are common for going.
