2.1td cat Replacement

Post by davethewheel »

the cat on my 2.1td xantia is looking a bit ropy so i'd like to get rid of it, i thought that there was a pipe that you could buy to replace it but i've tried several places today and they have all said that the only way is to get some one to weld a section of pipe into the exhaust, not keen on this idea as it sounds like a bit of a bodge :)

I think the only thing you can probably is to get a front section for an earlier one, if they made one without a cat. My XM hasn't got one.

i'll have an other look tomorrow but unless i'm mistaken all the xantia 2.1td's came with a cat fitted, the other thing that i was wondering is if the 1.9td exhaust is the same fitting but i doubt it.
