Hi Guys.
Need a new auxillary belt... Citroen say that for my model (A/C) there are two available depending on A/C ompressor manufacturer. I am unable to identify a manufacturers plate.... any other clues such as shape etc that I can identify which compressor I have???

If you look closely there should be some numbers written on the old belt's external surface. The numbers run along the lengthwise and are written many times across it's width. These numbers indicate, IIRC, the length and the number of ribs.

Cheers for that Richard.. unfortunately there lies the problem. The last belt was purchased from GSF and was very tight, no mention was made at the time of the availability of two types so I suspect I was given the wrong one as it only lasted 12 months.
The good news is....... I have found out what type it is, got the correct one and it fits a treat!

Apparently 90% are Sanden but for a short time they fitted Duvall/Durand or some such name... I'm in the 90% band.

Re: Xantia 1.9TD Auxillary Belt
Thats a Delphi / Harrison compressor, if you look on the label where is says "Part" you've managed to rub off part of the part number but what is left is the end of it reading 290, the full number should be 1135290. I did the same thing when I cleaned the label off on mine. Although my part number (1135253) isn't exactly the same as yours, my compressor is essentially the same thing, the difference being the external connections.f00lzz wrote:Hi Guys.

Just looking at the photos, you seem to be missing the caps off the air con service connectors....
The caps were missing when I bought the car... old posts of mine tell some of the story, it had a hard life I think with poor maintenance from a certain 'specialist' in Oxford. Slowly getting it right with plenty of TLC.
