Alternative workshop manuals for french cars.

Post by KennyW »

Hi Gang,

During my recent visit to France I visited a large Hyper market in Boulogne-sur-mer, Auchen , and I saw a various DIY car manuals for a large selection of French cars .In particular my Xantia TD mk2 and it was much more detailed than the BOL.
I decided to pick it up my return but one minor problem occured I forgot to keep some spare dosh
So if anybody is across the other side of the channel it maybe worth having a quick look.
I won't be down until later in the year, stocking up :!: , but will be uplifting a copy.
Also I didn't note the name of the manual.

For your info

Revue Techniques.

Issued regularly when new models arrives. I believe you can subscribe to receive new manuals as soon as they are issued.

Only snag is you have to brush up your french

Yes! They're good - better than Haynes. I got one for my C5 when I was there last. 22 Euros for the book - now for some French classes!

There's normally a few on ebay or in ebay seller's shops at modest buy-it-now prices.

These are very good as they illustrate with clear pictures and drawings well what you're working on, as opposed to the words with bad pictures approach taken by Haynes.

How's your french as the following is for sale for £8 on ebay but the seller only offers postage within France...
