Xantia Air con switch

Strange question I know, but have been trying to find a replacement aircon switch for my Xantia for ages.

Does anyone know if its possible to use another switch and just replace the front - or even have two of the same switch on the dashboard.

The heated rear window switches are everywhere, and that just turns it on and off, same as the aircon.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If the switch is just a simple make and break I couldn't imagine any problems providing the only difference was the symbol on the front of it....get mighty confusing for a new owner though.
