my rear brake pads need replacing on my 2001 xsara. anybody know how this is done? :D

Chock the front wheels. Jackup the rear and remove the wheel. Don't rely on the jack, use some support under the chassis. Pull out the spring clip and knock the slide plate from the groove. Remove the anti-rattle springs, making a note of how they fit. The pads should now pull out with pliers. Before fitting the new pads, clean out the spaces in the caliper. The pistons need to be pushed back in. Turn them clockwise using a piece of square bar. Apply pressure at the same time. Stop the piston in such a position so that the lug on the back of the pad will slide into the groove on the piston. When both pads are in, replace the anti-rattle springs and the retaining plate. When both wheels have been done, apply the footbrake a number of times to bring the pads into the correct position.
