bleeding pipe dimensions

bleeding pipe dimensions

hi gang,

can someone quicly tell me what size hole i need for the pipe to over the bleed nipple firmly?

i will go to a hydraulics shop tomorrow to get a reel of suggested pipe,

i will check back in the morning,

I have used the overflow pipe from the top of the LHM tank filler cap before. It is a perfect fit, suitable for LHM and can be put back when you have finished.

For outside diameter you can work from the nipple's head being fractionally smaller than the 8mm spanner used to turn it - for the inside diameter I'd guesstimate the wall thickness of the rubber to be 2-2.5mm, so internal bore would be around 3mm. Guess from here on wall thickness and overall diameter can increase in dimension!

All conjecture I'll admit, but how many options of pipe you recon will be on sale with the above approximate dimensions..?

Why not take said pipe into the shop with you??
