ZX - Which way does the coolant flow ??

Post by sooty »

Which way does the coolant flow, between the radiator and oil filter. Does it flow from the rad to the filter or from filter to the rad. This being on a ZX TD.

If you are refering to the oil cooler, as far as I know its just part of the cooling system circuit and is at normal pre thermostat temperature.

Haynes diesel engine manual diagram for the BX TD shows the water flowing from the thermostat housing to the offside connection on the oil cooler. It then flows out of the nearside pipe to the bottom of the radiator where presumably it mixes with the cooled water for re-circulation.

Haynes ZX diagrams are far more fun and to me completely unintelligible (or in the case of the TD unmarked)
