The C6 doesn't have the same setup as the C5. The C6 a dual wishbone setup (like the 407 but its hydraulic) that has 4 spheres per axle, with one height sensor per side, I'm not sure the what or the how there was a post on here a while back with pictures and much speculation.
Its hydractive 3+ with AMVAR autoadaptive variable dampening. There are 4 spheres on the rear axle, the front only has 3.there are 4 body height sensors 1 for each wheel to control the AMVAR system.
Is there anything to say that the 4 spheres on the "rear axle" are all ride related though ?

Perhaps the 4th does some other function - like the anti-sink sphere on a Xantia...which is connected to the suspension, but doesn't actually affect the ride.

If there were 4 directly associated with controling the ride, I would have thought they'd use 4 at the front as well...

Simon

Well watched Top Gear last night and was so excited  I was infact pleasently surprised with Mr Jeremy's response, slightly odd at times with the licking the steering wheel comments, but it was a joy to watch the horse filming betweem the two cars, and I turned round to the gf and told her thats why I like my Xantia so much.

To me buying a big car is to do with feeling like a (-expletive removed-), I mean, an executive who wants to ride/drive in pure comfort and that filming shows the suspension does just that, why would I spend all that money on a BMW where the ride is just plain awful, just like my Fessa now. If im buying a car I want pure comfort, I dont want to feel that awful road surface.

Even the gf liked the car and was very pleased with the cream leather interior.

I want my Xantia back!

They have a couple in my 'local' Citroen garage in Exeter and I must say the interior looks very impressive, it 'looks' bigger tham my XM. Unfortunatly, apart from not being able to afford it, my requirements are for a manual diesel estate, and they dont make one.

I agree with mezuk, the primary reason I run an XM is for the ride comfort and I havn't found anything to equal it yet.

A nice motor, and one we'll all be able to afford pretty soon as well, because of that old fly in the big Citroen ointment, depreciation!!

Are Citroen that much lacking in confidence in the car that they are offering a guaranteed buy-back already, as JC said??????

An interesting piece, but, like most TG stuff, very much staged-it is, after all,a top entertainment show first and information very much second, otherwise It'd be like the old TG, very very boring.......after all, who really wants to know the boot capacity of a Nissan Micra??

I was surprised how fair TG was - as they correctly identified what the C6 excells at and devised a fun test to show its ability.

This may not depreciate quite as badly as other big Citroens. Apparently the number to be imported is quite small, it is outside the dealer's quota, so they are not forced to take them and dump them, and as Citroen dealers don't handle many expensive BMW's and Mercedes - Citroen have employed a company specialising in the field to handle the PX's.

Seems Citroen are taking C6 rather seriously - which is rather interesting.

Free membership....

Although new members who dont have a good upload ratio have to wait 24 hours after the file is released before they can download it...by my counting that is about another 5 hours.... 8)

Did'nt the CX look good for its age, I mean when it hit the roads all those years back. The interia looked fantastic in leather and I quite like the odd features it had.
Funny also to see some DS's running around with cameras on their roofs.
