interior light switch

Post by pie eater »

Does anybody know where the switch is that turns on the interior lights when you open the door on a Xantia? The lights work ok, except on opening the driver's door. I've looked round the door frame but can't see a normal doorswitch.

Thanks.

On the Mk I, it’s about half way up the frame at the front.
You can’t see any of the switch itself.
It’s inside a black rubber bellow.

It's in the door lock mechanism. Before doing anything though look inside the rubber sleeve from body to door frame. I'm 99% sure you will find a broken wire.
