Hi all,
I'm about to take the leap and purchase a 2001 xsara hdi 110 sx trading in my much loved volcane (rotten rear arches). The xsara isn't a volcane so I'll have to go slow around corners and not accelerate when roundabouts come into view.
The new car has 40k miles, what should I look out for? Have they shown many problems? Has anyone changed the factory fit stereo and still kept the steering wheel controls.
All comments and opinions welcome.

A 2001 xsara should still be under warranty provided the service history is up to date.but no major problems with them.I know that SONY do adaptors that alow you to keep the steering wheel controlls for sony stereos, but don't know about other manufacturers.being A 2001 xsara it will probably have a multiplex wiring system which means that the original stereo will have to be de-programmed by A main dealer before it is removed or it could lead to all sorts of problems.
