Hi all,
Have a '97 Xantia Estate, with leaky boot, ala wet boot carpet.....
Have followed various peoples advice & have seales membrane....no problem.
However boot carpet still getting wet underneath...doh!
Thought it was membrane leaking again, however have just noticed today that there is water sitting on other side of the boot seal, how could this happen, have tested boot to destruction, definitely no leaks!
Im running out of ideas fast (includign pateince levels!)
I read a post once suggesting drilling some holes into back bumper near the seal, would this help????
Or is a boot seal change in order??
Sorry for ranting, hope you can help!
Steve

I have noticed that my boot lid has holes driled in it. As I have only just got the car I'm not sure why they were drilled or if it cured the last owners problem. All I know is that I have a dry boot but always have water on the boot sill where I suppose the water drians out of the holes. I did also notice a little water leaking in when in a car wash recently. Only a small amount and it sat on the parcel shelf.
