Swindon Workshop?

Post by Zaphod »

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a newbie to this forum malarky, so I hope I don't upset anyone!
I own an R reg Xantia that's done a very reliable 100k miles and the suspension's getting a bit firm... I'm looking for a workshop in the Swindon area that can do a reliable refurb/replacement on the spheres without breaking the bank. i would do the work myself, but I'm happy to pay to get it done and would like to know if somewhere out there could recommend somewhere reliable.
Thanks
Jon

As a Swindon resident myself.
I can't think of an independent Cit specialist. (I am thinking f setting one up!)
Theres a guy near Malborough, theres also Pewsham Garage near Chippenham.
A friend of mine was time served at Murray & Whittaker, our Cit dealer before Windmill Hill took over. He is good and does private work, you can email me for his details if required

I've used IPS near the Moonrakers on a few occasions; reasonable rates and claim to be Pug/Cit specialists.

I know a man in Swindon who loves Citroens, and he's cheap as well!
He's called Jim Scaplehorn, and he has a 'workshop' in Stratton. His number is 07966 233949. He does a good job, and knows his stuff, but sometimes needs a 'kick up the backside' if you're in a hurry!
(don't tell him I said that!)
