Airbag Light Saxo VTR

Post by saxoqueen »

The Airbag warning light is always on in my Saxo VTR. When I cleaned it out the other day, it went off for a while and then came back on? I've been told it is something to do with the seat belt connector? Any ideas please?
Cheers,

Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. Unplug the cables under the seats, give them a squirt of wd-40, then reconnect them again. Connect the battery.
The plugs start to make bad contact with age, and the above procedure of cleaning and using a contact agent (wd-40 in our case) gets them back to life.
Cheers!

Forgot to ask, where's the connector to the seat belt? All I see is a couple of leads from under the floor vanish into the seat!!

the plugs usually are placed before the wires vanish beneath the floor carpet (ok, never done this on a saxo... :P )

Thanks for all the help. Got to the plugs and cleaned them. There's one under the seat and another by the seat belt anchor itself. Did both on both seats and now the light goes off as it should.
Cheers,
