Standard Radio Fitment - Citroen

Post by jgra1 »

everytime I fit a standard unit back in a Xantia it never quite goes in correctly. I always thought wires etc were getting in the way of the back of the unit. But it seems that there are two silly little plastic things you need to line up.!

So, you have two (silver) torx bolts that hold radio to plastic cage, and 4 screws that hold cage to car. The two silver screws go into seemingly overcomplicated housings that need to be lined up properly. Why have citroen done this, there musy be loads of easier ways to hold two pieces of plastic together? Self tappers being obvious, and used over rest of interior...

sorry if i am not explaining this well, but if you have tried to refit one of these units and wondered why it hasnt quite gone back properly this may be why..
