Xantia heater control bulbs

Hello Everybody
I have a 97 Xantia 1.9td lx and my heater illumination has gone out.
I am trying to work out how to get the heater slider controls out to change the bulb do knobs have to come off sliders or does it all come out in one piece?

mike,
all i can tell you is that on my '93 petrol model, you have to undo about 4-6 torx screws to access the bulbs, have you got a torx screwdriver set?, if no then it is a good invesment as most screws on a xantia are torx.

Yes I have a torx bit set so I'll have a go at the week end.
any idea what sort of bulbs they are?

i beliove that they are 12v, with the metal contacts on the outside of the glass, simalar to a christmas light bulbs, but without the plastic collar.
