Today i replaced the distributor cap and although it has made a difference to the general stability of the engine, it still runs very rough and idles erratically.
Its idle is set at around 1000rpm. When the PR kicks in the revs drop to around 500 at which point it picks up again to just over 1000rpm, then down to 500 and then up tp 1000 (you get the idea!) until the accumulator is recharged and then it tends to go back to normal.
Because of the hunting it seems to take quite a while for the accumulator to re-charge.
Does this look right?
