Xantia Radio from MK2

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me how to enter the code for the radio shown in link.?
Also, what is the 1st lockout time if wrong code has been entered. I left radio and ignition turned on for at least 45 mins, then I got hacked off with waiting and went in the house
I have the code. But no owners manual/booklet to tell me how to do it.

Thanks a lot,
Greg

To enter the code you just turn on the ignition and enter the code when it says 'CODE' on the screen. After you enter the last digit, the radio recognises the code and unlocks itself.

It did on mine anyway. It looks exactly the same as yours.

It's not like the ZX radio where you had some wierd procedure to get it to unlock.

If the code on the keycard isn't working, someone must have had it decoded in the past. If that's the case, you might want to whip the radio out of the dash and see if there is a sticker with a code number on it. If you pull out the ashtray you'll see the screws you need to get started with removing the fascia.

Using the chanel No. buttons enter the appropriate code. i.e if the code is 1234 use button No's 1234 in sequence.
Also, what is the 1st lockout time if wrong code has been entered. I left radio and ignition turned on for at least 45 mins, then I got hacked off with waiting and went in the house.
If you enter the code wrong try re-setting the radio by pressing the BND button.

Hi. - in agreement with fo0ls above. And straight from the Radio hand book

On Clarion Radios, you do not need to wait to re-enter the code.

You can do it as many times as you like. If you have entered the wrong code, SIMPLY PRESS THE BND button to retry your code...

If its for example, 6352, as said above simply press the appropiate numbers on the front so it shows them in the display..

AFTER FOUR ATTEMPTS the unit will LOCK for one hour. You need to leave the radio and ignition (if needed) on for this time for it to reset.

Good luck.
Regards
