Hello Haynes a almost complete waste of time I couldnt believe how little actual information there was.
So I will combine this reply with a question does anyone have information on the V6 Xantia. 1997. Just a couple of simple things to start with before I have enough courage to do the cam belt, sparking plugs what kind/make and where the h**l are they!!
Thanks chaps.
Geoff.

dnsey

what a GREAT idea, bent spanner symbols.

Surely this derserves to be used first on this forum and then we could approach Haynes. They could put the price up by £1 and sell it as the "actaully a bit usefull" edition. This would make us mmmmmmiiiiiiillllllllllliiiiiiiiiioooooooooooonnnnnnnnssssssss =P~

Kind moderators out there, any chance you could get us a bent spanner "Emoticon" ?? [-o< We could apply bent spanners depending on how difficult we actually find repairs in real life.

I have 2 Pug 205 manuals- one the new type which I bought when I got the 205XS I had, and the old type which the bloke who sold me the car later found and bought round. The old one has 365 pages and is twice as thick as the new one- I don't know how many pages that one has because of the weird page numbering system they now use.

This says it all about current Haynes manuals......http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stor ... &langId=-1..Depressing, really, isn't it? And the reason they don't have the cutaway drawings on the front anymore is because they are too technical and scare people off!!!

Once upon a time.............. Haynes used to put on the cover of their manuals, "Every manual based on a stripdown and rebuild." Wonder if they still do that? As if!

I have a Haynes manual for a Mk1 Mr2 & its brilliant, right down to telling you how to test, & what results you should get, various plus thoughout the engine bay. - Even shows you how to test relays.
It has been done by americans, so you'd expect it to be a little ott
