Xantia instrument cluster lights

Post by CitroenNuts »

Hi just been giving my new 1999 Treg 2.0HDI a good going over and have noticed that a few of the back light on the dash are out
I know this isn’t unusual but is the MK2 instrument cluster any easier to remove than the old one the reason for asking is the last one I dad was a Mk1 1995 and the Speedo cable was a complete female dog to get back in and if it’s the same on the MK2 then it will just have to stay that way ( My knuckles cant handle that much stress)

Thanks
In advance

Don't know about the Xantia but every other Citroen that I have replaced dash bulbs in have been the same. ie the loom lengths and cable lengths are cut to within a mm of what is required to refit.
Be prepared to say goodbye to a couple of layers of knuckle skin. Ouch!

I think you`ll find that the speedo has a electronic feed instead of a cable.I recently changed my dash bulbs on my 97 mk 1 Xantia & all the cables were pluged into the bottom front of the cluster,so no routing around at the back.It simply slides out even with all the cables still atached.
