In 1998 I got told that the Xantia pollen filter was costing $A140, nearly £60.
There was no question of shelling out that sort of money for a filter.
I knew that the SAAB pollen filter was washable, so I tried it, and it paid off.
The price of the filters has dropped several times since, down to about £17 by now, but I don’t need new ones anymore.
The old one can be washed several times.
